Storm Power Agent Review

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

This review is on a great overseas release, the Storm Power Agent!

Power Agent

The Storm Power Agent uses the proven EMC that has been used in the entire Agent line, as well as a solid/pearl hybrid of the R2S coverstock. It’s basically a Secret Agent (my favorite Storm ball ever) without the particle. This is gonna get it down the lane easier than the Secret and make a harder turn on the backend. However, since it is a hybrid, it will start up sooner and be a bit smoother than the original Agent. The Storm Power Agent is the perfect ball to fit between the Secret and Original Agents! This ball really hooks, so if you need something for medium-heavy oil or longer patterns, the Power Agent is a great choice! It’s unfortunate this ball wasn’t released to the American public, but fortunately here at Airport Lanes Pro Shop you can get one! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to pick up this rare and awesome ball!

As always… Bowl Up a Storm!

Storm Secret Agent Review

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I’d like to share with you a review I wrote on one of my favorite balls of all time, the Storm Secret Agent :

Secret Agent

Pin to PAP(4 7/8 over x 1/4 up) – 5 1/2″
CG Placement – 1/2″ right of grip center
Balance Hole – None
This put the pin under my middle finger.
Surface Preparation – 1000 Abralon

What I Was Looking For In This Layout: I went with my favorite layout. I wanted this ball to react evenly as I wanted it to be the first ball out of my bag, my benchmark.

What I Ended Up With In This Ball Layout: Exactly what I wanted and more. To say that this is my benchmark ball would be selling the Secret Agent short. I throw this ball on everything but extreme dry.

I’ve had many balls in past that I would consider ‘condition specific,’ meaning that the ball needed the right condition for it to shine. Well the Secret Agent, for me, is the complete opposite of condition specific. I’ve never had a ball that I’ve seen so many different reactions out of. On everything from Heavy Oil to medium-dry, this ball has been all I could ever ask for. The Secret Agent seems to change its reaction according to what is needed on a certain condition. So I guess you could say, for me, this ball reads the lane better than anything I’ve ever thrown.

I know I’ve put the Storm Secret Agent on an extreme pedestal, but…

I believe that if you try one, you won’t be disappointed! It may not be the all-around monster that it is for me, but the Secret Agent will definitely find it’s place in your bag. And if you’re like me, your heart.

Thank you Storm for continuing to be ‘The Cream of the Crop’!
