The Columbia 300 Noize uses a combination of proven new and older technology by using the New Era cover featured on the Resurgence and the Ti Boss core. I love when companies do this because you know you’re getting great performance at a great price! This ball REALLY hooks! Not just for a mid-priced ball, but compared to any ball it’s a beast! The Noize really gets down the lane easy (especially with polish) and makes a very strong move on the backend. If you’re looking for great performance at a great price, then pick up a Columbia 300 Noize!

In my opinion, the Storm ThunderStruck Solid is a must-have for any bowler! This bowling ball is one of the most predictable balls I’ve ever thrown. It’s an absolute life saver if you bowl a lot of tournaments and run into tough lane conditions. With its combination of the Reactor Coverstock and original Thunder core, the Thunderstruck Solid gets through the heads easily, reads the midlane great, and has a very smooth arc on the backend. This bowling ball isn’t going to hook off the lane, but it’ll allow you play many different lines with ease. Who can argue with Norm Duke? A lot of the time, straighter is greater! I’ll give the Thunderstruck Solid the best compliment I can give any ball: It reminds me of my favorite ball of all-time, the Speed Zone. Nothing I’ve thrown since that ball has come as close as the Storm ThunderStruck Solid. Just like my Speed Zone, I can throw this bowling ball on lots of different conditions, and I know what the ball is going to do. It’s great to have a bowling ball in your hand that you know is going to react the same each and every time. The Storm Thunderstruck Solid is just that ball. So if you want to make those tough lane conditions look easy, or you want a ball that will kill a house shot, pick up a Thunderstruck Solid! Thanks again Storm for another great bowling ball!

Bowl Up a Storm!!

The Brunswick Swarm uses the pearl version of the most successful coverstock in bowling history, the Powrkoil 18, as well as the new medium RG Honeycomb core. If you need a ball that really gets down the lane, I don’t see anything on the market that does this better than the Brunswick Swarm! This ball gets through the heads with ease which helps once the lanes start to dry out. However, once the Swarm gets down the lane, this ball really makes a hard turn. This will allow you to benefit from angles that your competitors might not be able to play. We all love an advantage, don’t we? Brunswick is really helping out the bowling community by offering high performance equipment and a great price! With the world’s financial situation Brunswick is helping us get the reactions we need for much cheaper! Get the Brunswick Swarm and “sting” the competition!

Thanks Brunswick for another great release!

This review is on the newest addition to Vibe line, the Hammer Vibe Emerald!

Vibe Emerald

In my opinion, the Vibe line is the best that Hammer offers. This isn’t meant to take away from the Widow Series or Raw Hammers, but the Vibes are unbelievably versatile.

I’ve drilled many of these for customers, and as a pro shop operator the Hammer Vibe Emerald is a dream. This ball can be anywhere from a light oil ball for when the lanes break down and you need something to clear the heads, or it can be great on longer patterns depending on how I drill it. I love that. I love when I’m able to use a layout and actually have the ball respond to it the way I want it to. The Hammer Vibe Emerald is a little less skid/snap than the Hammer Cherry Vibe, which is great if your THS has screaming backends, or if you’re bowling a lot of sport conditions. If the Hammer Vibe Emerald went to high school, it would’ve been voted Most All-Around

For the price and proven performance of the Vibe Series, you can’t go wrong with the Hammer Vibe Emerald!

If you’re looking for a ball for light/medium lane conditions, there’s no better option than the Avalanche Solid. This ball uses some of the greatest technology of all timeat an amazing price! The Brunswick Avalanche Solid has the PowerKoil 18 solid coverstock that has been used on more balls than any other coverstock in history. The Danger Zone, Monster Bruiser, Zone Red Alert and many others used the PowerKoil 18. The core in the Brunswick Avalanche Solid is from another one of the greatest balls ever, the Teal Rhino Pro. With this combination there’s no doubt that you’ll be buying a winner!

The Brunswick Avalanche Solid brings to mind one word: SMOOTH! This ball will give you an even, archy reaction throughout the whole lane. This is the perfect type of reaction for drier lanes, or when the condition is tough. You want to know exactly what the ball is going to do when you throw it, and the Brunswick Avalanche Solid is as predictable as they come!

Order yourself a Brunswick Avalanche Solid, you won’t regret it!

Thanks again Brunswick for another great release!

This review is on a great ball from Storm’s Fire Line, the Storm Sure Fire!

I drilled my Storm Sure Fire with a Rico Drilling, which is where the pin is at your grip center with the CG kicked 45 degrees right and a low hole 6 3/4″ from the pin.

I knew with the Storm Sure Fire‘s hybrid R2S coverstock at 4000 Abralon with no polish would be a smooth rolling piece. But when drilling it Rico it became that much more predictable! This ball reads the midlane wonderfully and made a nice strong roll on the backend. This ball is by no means a hook monster, but if you’ve got a low speed or a lot of revs this ball could be great on the high end of medium. But if you don’t fit in those categories, I believe the Storm Sure Fire is a wonderful ball for a normal house shot, and a great overall benchmark ball!

Come get yours today for $109.99, and as always, Bowl up a Storm!

Hey all,

I’d like to give a short review on a great, new midpriced, the Storm Street Rod Pearl.

I’ve drilled quite a few of these for customers, and for the price this ball is amazing! I really believe Storm has done a great job with their new line of creating balls that complement each other very well. They’ve released 3 pearls this year that all give a different look on the lanes. The Storm Gravity Shift gets down the lane well and makes an unrelenting smooth backend arc. The Storm Rapid Fire Pearl also gets down the lane well, but has a VERY strong skid/snap reaction. And then there’s the Storm Street Rod Pearl, with a very similar reaction to the Gravity, but with a little less hook and slightly earlier on the lane. When drilled to go long the SRP can be exactly what is needed for when your Gravity is hooking a bit too much but will give you the same type reaction.

The SRP uses proven technology, so you know what you’re buying is going to work! Its Reactor coverstock has been used on many great Storm balls like the Agent, Spit Fire and Tropical Storms. And the Turbine Core is a modified version of the Messenger Core purchased from Columbia when they were bought out by Ebonite. The Messenger series was one of the best lines of the last 10 years, in my opinion.

You can’t go wrong with the Storm Street Rod Pearl!

This review is on the newest addition to Storm’s Master line of bowling balls, the Storm Dimension.

Knowing that this ball is a hook monster and being a high rev player, I used my favorite layout. 5 1/2x 4 1/2 which put the pin above my middle finger as I am right handed. I wanted this layout to do what it always does for me and give me a smooth and consistent reaction. I got exactly what I wanted. I believe this ball can handle any amount of oil you will find. When they say this ball is a hook monster, it is the Sasquatch of hook! I used the Storm Dimension on the PBA Shark pattern, and it felt like a house shot. I think all of you Storm fans should buy 2, leave one at box finish and another one with some polish to get it down the lane and give you more backend. It would be an amazing start to an arsenal! If you’re looking for hook, hit and durability then the Dimension and as always Storm is the way to go!

I’d like to share with you a review I wrote on one of my favorite balls of all time, the Storm Secret Agent :

Secret Agent

Pin to PAP(4 7/8 over x 1/4 up) – 5 1/2″
CG Placement – 1/2″ right of grip center
Balance Hole – None
This put the pin under my middle finger.
Surface Preparation – 1000 Abralon

What I Was Looking For In This Layout: I went with my favorite layout. I wanted this ball to react evenly as I wanted it to be the first ball out of my bag, my benchmark.

What I Ended Up With In This Ball Layout: Exactly what I wanted and more. To say that this is my benchmark ball would be selling the Secret Agent short. I throw this ball on everything but extreme dry.

I’ve had many balls in past that I would consider ‘condition specific,’ meaning that the ball needed the right condition for it to shine. Well the Secret Agent, for me, is the complete opposite of condition specific. I’ve never had a ball that I’ve seen so many different reactions out of. On everything from Heavy Oil to medium-dry, this ball has been all I could ever ask for. The Secret Agent seems to change its reaction according to what is needed on a certain condition. So I guess you could say, for me, this ball reads the lane better than anything I’ve ever thrown.

I know I’ve put the Storm Secret Agent on an extreme pedestal, but…

I believe that if you try one, you won’t be disappointed! It may not be the all-around monster that it is for me, but the Secret Agent will definitely find it’s place in your bag. And if you’re like me, your heart.

Thank you Storm for continuing to be ‘The Cream of the Crop’!

Here’s a great video on the Secret Agent:
